Kimia Amiri is an Iranian multimedia artist based in USA and is currently pursuing an MFA in Visual Arts at Boise State University.
Her work incorporates rigid, fragile, and bio-based materials. Her artistic practice focuses on investigating the enduring impact of trauma on human beings. Through material exploration and experimentation, she examines how psychological experiences become embodied, exploring the relationships between traumatic memory, identity, vulnerability, and materiality. She seeks to create spaces where the physical and the emotional become inseparable, inviting viewers to reflect on the impact of trauma on human beings.
